Description:Your Mission:
This Lockheed Martin (LM) Corporate Technical Operations (CTO) position is for a Virtual Infrastructure Engineer supporting Classified Operations onsite in Orlando, Florida. This professional will have extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing VMware environments, with a deep understanding of virtualization technologies and best practices. As a Virtual Infrastructure Administrator, you will be responsible for optimizing our virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across various environments. This work will be performed in accordance with both Lockheed Martin and DoD policies and procedures. All work must be performed on-site, including some off-shift hours, weekends, and occasional travel. This position supports a 24 x 7 weekly on-call rotation schedule.Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:Design, implement, and maintain virtual infrastructure, focusing on VMware infrastructure solutions.Deploy and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation products across multiple physical sites, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and the Aria Suite.Deploy, manage, and optimize the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment using Omnissa Horizon.Install, configure, and maintain Horizon infrastructure, including Connection Servers, Horizon Agents, Horizon Clients, Unified Access Gateways (UAGs), and App Volumes.Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of the virtual infrastructure and VDI environment.Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of VMware infrastructure with other systems.Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure the security and reliability of the virtual infrastructure.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for VMware infrastructure and the VDI environment, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMware technologies, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and virtual machine management.Troubleshoot and resolve VDI-related problems, including connectivity, performance, and compatibility issues.Stay updated with the latest virtualization and VDI technologies and industry trends.Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.Basic Qualifications:Active Top Secret Clearance.US Citizenship is required for this facility.Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certificates (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CASP).Demonstrated proficiency with VMware ESXi, vCenter, Aria, and Horizon.Demonstrated proficiency applying DISA STIGs.Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, practices, and procedures.Demonstrated willingness and ability to enhance and expand skillsets to meet organization and new technology demands.Must be able to lift 35 lbs.Desired Skills:Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), to include ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and Horizon.Experience with Dell VxRail.Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Server 2019/2022, and Windows 10/11.Experience with RHEL/CentOS 7/8/9.Experience with developing VMware PowerCLI scripts to aid in administering and securing VMware vCenter, virtual machines, and ESXi hosts.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to review, modify, and prepare comprehensive documentation for virtualization tasks.8+ years experience working with virtualization technologies.VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) certification.Security Clearance Statement:
