Job Description
Work toward the stability, integrity, and availability of in-house networks, servers, systems and connected devices.
Act as a functional resource, working on network, security, or voice related tasks, projects, and day to day support.
Assist with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links.
Analyze and resolve escalated network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.
Configure systems and networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
With minimal supervision, conduct daily support of network and end-user systems to maintain service level objectives.
Serve as a team member for planning, testing, implementing, and documenting system, OS and hardware upgrades, enhancements, and patches.
Work with end users to identify and deliver required service levels.
Liaise with and provide training and support to end users and staff on network operation and other issues.
Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC, server, system, and network performance.
Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal. Evaluate and recommend hardware products for purchase.
Support development and implementation of new projects and hardware installations.
Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
Ensure connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephone systems, fax machines, and other network appliances.
Monitor and test network and system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.

Qualifications
The position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor's degree experience in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field and three (3) years of experience in a related occupation.
3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing network systems and equipment, including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, WIFI, Wide Area Network, and Local Area Network (Cisco Certification)
3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing Servers and appliance based systems, including DHCP, FTP, DNS, or other foundational systems
3 years of experience with ITIL, maintaining inventory, and updating configurations in a CMDB, including ServiceNow
3 years of experience working as part of a project team, including making site visits to consult and repair
3 years of experience supporting communication systems such as VOIP, Ring Central phone systems, Cellular systems, and google platforms for communication and collaboration
3 years of experience in Industrial Controls networks, including (SCADA) and operational technology related to water utilities, and implementing the same based on security standards outlined in National Institute of Standards and Technology Guide to Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Security (NIST SP 800-82)
3 years of experience working with and providing support for automation systems and security camera and IOT type devices installations.
Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to Veolia Water M&S (Paramus) Inc.'s Paramus, NJ location. Travel Requirement: 10% domestic travel required
