Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a talented Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join its expanding Insurance Coverage practice in Chicago, IL. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse array of insurance coverage matters, including both personal and commercial policies, while managing litigation in state and federal courts. Duties Research and draft coverage opinions and position letters on various insurance matters. Litigate declaratory judgment actions and review or draft policy language. Communicate effectively with clients regarding their insurance coverage issues. Manage all phases of coverage litigation, ensuring timely progress and thorough documentation. Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategic approaches to complex legal challenges. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation is preferred. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Ability to manage cases independently from inception through resolution. Familiarity with personal and commercial insurance policies is advantageous. Commitment to high-quality client service and effective communication skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution. Certifications Active license to practice law in Illinois is required. Skills Exceptional legal research and writing abilities. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively. Ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex problems. Proficient in communicating complex legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
