A law firm seeks an experienced Of Counsel to join its Projects & Energy Finance group, focusing on energy transition financing matters. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior attorney with a strong background in energy transition projects and financing, particularly those involving tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on innovative, high-profile international projects in the energy sector. This role offers a hybrid work environment, combining flexibility with in-office collaboration.Duties:Provide expert legal advice on financing matters related to energy transition projects.Handle transactions involving the financing and M&A of energy transition companies and projects.Advise on tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization matters.Work on novel and complex financing deals within the energy transition space.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to structure and implement energy transition transactions.Draft, negotiate, and review transaction documents, including contracts and financing agreements.Stay updated on industry trends, energy policies, and legal developments affecting the energy transition.Provide strategic counsel on regulatory and compliance matters related to energy financing.Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.Requirements:Minimum of 9 years of experience in energy transition finance, with a focus on renewable energy.Proven experience in handling financing and M&A transactions related to energy transition projects.Expertise in tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.Ability to manage complex legal matters and provide innovative solutions to clients.Must be admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction in which you are applying.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the relevant state bar.Skills:Expertise in energy transition financing and M&A.Strong legal research and writing skills, particularly in the energy sector.Ability to advise on complex legal and regulatory matters.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and collaboration.Proficient in structuring and negotiating energy-related financing deals.Knowledge of tax equity, renewable energy tax credits, and energy regulations.
