Optum's Enterprise Provider Growth Office is building a team of experienced, disciplined, regional healthcare sales executives to drive the business development of our Optum Provider Product Portfolio. As a Sales Executive, Provider Market Product Portfolio, you will be responsible for achieving assigned sales targets and driving growth in your specified market by aligning Optum portfolio capabilities with client business needs, including IT infrastructure modernization, financial performance, consulting / advisory services, outsourcing services, and AI enabled workflow automation and process efficiencies. You will have a wide range of Optum Provider portfolio products at your disposal, including revenue cycle, IT, clinical, and imaging services and technologies. You will be responsible for collaborating and coordinating with internal matrix partners - particularly the Provider Account Executives - to execute on sales strategies and exceed annual sales bookings target. This role requires broad-based healthcare operations knowledge in both Acute and Ambulatory environments, and in-depth understanding of the OI Provider Product portfolio. This position is responsible for providing all aspects of business development, from expanding client relationships to developing and closing new business opportunities. This person will focus on pipeline management and sales process excellence to improve win rates, drive sustainable growth, and understand the competitive environment to help create a differentiated value proposition. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategies to exceed assigned bookings targets through growth of net new and add-on sales across the Optum portfolio and within assigned geography. Segment and target key growth areas to increase market share.Build sales strategy and lead RFP, RFI, RFQ's for new and existing clients Conduct market/industry/prospective client research, both independently and in partnership with organizations within our network Manage multiple concurrent sales opportunities, from initial origination through final deal signature, by leveraging standard processes and templates. Serve as the sales opportunity leader / primary client point of contact throughout the deal lifecycle Identify opportunity risk factors at an early stage and take effective action to safeguard both our clients and the organization Work collaboratively across a complex, matrixed organization to ensure internal alignment and transparency is a top priority Provide weekly and accurate pipeline and forecast reports to Sr. Sales and Business leaders, as well as deal progression insights and key milestones Be 'In-Market' frequently, meeting with clients and understanding client needs, attending industry conferences and building personal relationships with clients' leader peers Exemplify Optum values of integrity, respect, collaboration, innovation, and excellence across all activities Enable achievement of Optum goals for growth, execution, customers, and people

Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, sales, or consulting Broad understanding of hospital operations and key performance metrics Detailed understanding of the Optum Provider Product Portfolio and ability to help team members align Optum capabilities with client needs across a wide range of solutions Solid network of healthcare executive relationships that can be leveraged Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Ability to influence in a matrixed internal environment to achieve desired outcomes Serve as a conduit between Provider Clients and Optum Product leaders to identify new product opportunities and launch new solutions to solve complex challenges Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
Preferred Qualifications: HFMA / ACHE certification Healthcare software and technology experience in Care Management or Utilization Management Track record of successful sales/ownership over a personal revenue target Solid background knowledge of the entire range of Optum solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to tailor content and messaging to different audiences in a clear and engaging manner Self-motivated, self-aware, innovative, and organized

The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $195,000 annually. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
