Position Overview:
As a
Scrum Master
at Cambridge Technology, you will be instrumental in guiding and coaching our software development teams to ensure successful Agile delivery for our clients. In this role, you will facilitate all aspects of the Scrum process, remove impediments, foster collaboration, and ensure that teams are empowered to deliver high-quality software solutions on time. You will work closely with stakeholders, Product Owners, and development teams to ensure that Agile principles are adhered to while aligning with the needs of the client.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies:
Lead and facilitate Scrum events including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for multiple teams, ensuring that these ceremonies are productive and aligned with Agile principles.Remove Obstacles:
Proactively identify and address blockers, helping the team stay focused on delivering high-quality results. Act as a problem solver to ensure the team has everything needed to be successful.Coach Teams on Agile Practices:
Act as a mentor for development teams, Product Owners, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and Agile maturity.Track Team Progress:
Help teams track and manage their work using tools like Jira, ensuring the sprint goals are achieved. Support teams in managing their backlogs, user stories, and tasks to align with the project’s overall timeline and goals.Promote Continuous Improvement:
Encourage teams to reflect on their processes and look for opportunities to improve their productivity and effectiveness. Support the team in adopting new techniques, tools, or practices that can optimize performance.Ensure Effective Communication:
Act as a liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that expectations are clearly communicated and that there is transparency on progress and challenges.Support Agile Transformation:
Advocate for and support the broader Agile transformation efforts within the organization, ensuring that the Agile approach is adopted across teams and projects.Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the team’s ability to deliver projects on time or meet client expectations. Ensure any issues are communicated promptly to stakeholders.Team Empowerment:
Foster a high-performance team culture by encouraging accountability, ownership, and a strong sense of collaboration among team members.Required Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a consulting or software development environment, with a proven track record of guiding teams through Agile processes and delivering high-quality software solutions.Certifications:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or other recognized Agile certifications.Strong Agile Knowledge:
Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum, and experience with other methodologies (Kanban, Lean, SAFe) is a plus.Tools Expertise:
Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Confluence, or similar.Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Problem-Solving:
Ability to effectively identify and solve challenges that arise within the team or during the project lifecycle. Skilled in conflict resolution and ensuring alignment between stakeholders and team members.Team Leadership:
Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, with a strong sense of empathy and an ability to build trust and collaboration among team members.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Software Consulting:
Prior experience working as a Scrum Master in a software consulting firm or with clients in various industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, manufacturing).Experience with Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe):
Experience working with larger organizations and teams using frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Spotify Model.Familiarity with DevOps or Continuous Delivery:
Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or test automation to support development teams in delivering quality software more efficiently.Advanced Agile Certifications:
Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Agilist, or other advanced Agile certifications.
