Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in a design, product management, analytics or operations role at a mobile games company, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree.
8 years of experience in a product management or business operations role at a mobile game developer.
Experience working with data visualization tools to deliver results.
Experience using SQL to retrieve data from large data warehouses, with excellent technical skills.
Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: product strategy and roadmap development, game economy design and management, game business generation (e.g., subscriptions, in-app purchases or ads), user engagement (e.g., onboarding, churn reduction, reactivation, etc.), CRM and Life-cycle management.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze the performance of strategic partner’s games to identify areas for optimization and growth.
Create and deliver insights which communicate growth opportunities to Google Play and partner side products, analytics and executive leadership.
Provide thought leadership through the creation and delivery of original strategy consulting materials enabling optimal capitalization on growth opportunities.
Partner with developers during extended consulting engagements to assist with designing, executing, iterating and quantifying the impact of product improvements.
Consolidate genre insights and trends into strategic guidance materials that benefits the wider developer ecosystem.
The Global Business Consulting (GBC) team identifies growth opportunities in strategic partners’ products, markets, and improvement opportunities in user experience and quality. Growth Consulting as part of GBC focuses on strategic consultations enabling developers to identify optimum strategies for business, user acquisition and engagement, game economies, subscriptions, and more.
Members of the Growth Consulting team are equal parts consultants, analysts and product managers comfortable leveraging our domain expertise to transform data into information, narrate and present the insights to partners’ product, marketing, data teams and executives.
As a Games Growth Consultant, you will leverage your strong domain expertise in mobile games development, analytics and operations to help strategic partners to build and grow successful mobile businesses on Google Play. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional team members to elevate developer’s knowledge, thereby enabling product improvements which enhance value for users and drive sustainable business growth.
You’ll accomplish this goal by leveraging your expert knowledge in games vertical and the wealth of Google’s data to identify meaningful growth opportunities and guide adoption of the optimum solutions which remedies the deficiency or capitalizes on the opportunity for the partners’ products. Additionally, you’ll impact the global games ecosystem by abstracting solutions into reusable strategies and methodologies, leveraging these consulting resources to enhance developer sophistication and ecosystem health.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$261,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
