The MR technologist demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, contrast agents, MR safety and medical terminology. Maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and technique. The MR technologist performs MRI procedures according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician. Prepares and administers contrast at the direction of the radiologist in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Ensures the delivery of quality care in a safe environment for infant through adult patients. The MR technologist remains sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and nondiscriminatory manner. The MR technologist engages in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge and technical competence while embracing lifelong learning. The MR technologist uses independent, professional and ethical judgment, along with critical thinking in performance of duties. Job Requirements
Education High School Diploma (Required). Completion of formal Radiologic Technologist training at an AMA approved school. At least 1-year MRI experience preferred. Schedule Information
