Analyze and fine tune algorithms and data structures. Design and optimize multi-tenant architecture, load balancers, caching, distributed queues, high availability, and reliable systems, etc. Understand structured and unstructured database fundamentals, design, architecture, performance, and scalability. Optimize queries on Oracle and similar Relational Databases. Maintain outstanding attention to detail and strong communication skills. Drive cross-cloud/cross-program/cross-product teams on large complex projects to ensure application and systems are performant, scalable, stable, and reliable. Lead and drive production escalations: monitoring, remediation, patch delivery, root-cause-analysis, and ability to engage customers directly and heavily customer focused. Set standards and best practices giving direction to the team and influence externally. Maintain an understanding of performance engineering concepts, methodologies, tools, performance & capacity, capacity indicators, metrics, and analysis.
Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering).Special Skill Requirements: (1) Database; (2) AppDynamics; (3) Apigee; (4) AWS; (5) SaaS; (6) GCP; (7) Apim; (8) Splunk; (9) Redis; (10) Gemfire; (11) OpenShift; and (12) Root Cause Analysis. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.
