We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team remotely or at one of our Carlisle locations.
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be part of the Carlisle Polyurethane Systems Finance team. This position is responsible for supporting the team through assisting with general ledger reconciliation, utilizing SAP to extract data and prepare reports to support analysis, preparing monthly, quarterly & annual reports, performing reconciliations and assisting with inventory maintenance and tracking.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support CPS finance team with management reporting cadence including, but not limited to, month-end inventory, obsolete inventory management and capital expenditure analysis.
* Analyze key financial metrics to review accuracy and trends.
* Extract data from SAP
* Review SAP inventory costing and update as needed.
* Perform general ledger account reconciliation and analysis
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations
* Physical inventory and slow-moving/obsolete inventory (SMOG) maintenance and tracking
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly accruals and post journal entries in SAP
* Complete adhoc report/analysis requests
* Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Proficient in SAP - including extracting data
* SAP Inventory costing experience preferred
* Knowledge of physical inventory processes and SMOG inventory maintenance and tracking
* Highly skilled in using applications such as Excel, Pivot tables, Vlookups
* Experience with general ledger reconciliations and analysis
* Experience with balance sheet reconciliation
* Ability to work with minimum supervision while engaging with Finance leadership to identify trends and document/track opportunities for improvement
* Results-focused, team-oriented professional with a strong work ethic
Working Conditions:
* Office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities.

Education and Experience:
* Required:
* Bachelor\'s degree in business, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field or 5+ years of Accounting experience resulting in the needed skills
