Job Description:SPS Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and organized Operations Co-op student for Spring 2025. This position offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining practical, hands-on experience in a manufacturing operations environment. As a Co-op, you will work closely with our operations and production teams to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and support the day-to-day operations of a dynamic manufacturing facility.You'll have the chance to work on key projects that contribute to the overall success of the company, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge while developing valuable professional skills.Key Responsibilities:Assist in analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve production flow and efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and logistics to streamline operations.Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, improving productivity, and enhancing safety.Help gather and analyze data to support decision-making in production planning and operations management.Assist in the development and revision of operational documentation, such as process flow charts, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.Provide support for inventory management, supply chain coordination, and production scheduling tasks.Qualifications:Currently pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems is a plus.Previous co-op or internship experience in an operations or manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.Why Join SPS Technologies?Gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, contributing to real projects that drive company success.Collaborate with a talented and supportive team in a world-class manufacturing facility.Develop critical skills in operations management, production planning, and process optimization.Build a strong foundation for a future career in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
