The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a talented Technical Project Manager who is committed to driving innovation through data-driven insights. The Technical Project Manager will lead projects focused on large-scale data engineering and modeling in an Azure cloud environment. This role requires an understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, ETL processes and big data technologies. The Technical Project Manager will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless flow and integrity of data across the organization.
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing and executing complex data engineering projects involving large data sets, data modeling, and cloud-based solutions using Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both project management and data engineering, with deep expertise in Azure services and data lakes.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end project management for data engineering and modeling initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Manage and optimize large data sets in Azure, leveraging data lakes, SQL databases, and other Azure data services.
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of data models and pipelines.
Ensure data security, quality, and governance standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct risk management, issue resolution, and change management processes for all projects.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
Facilitate project meetings, including stand-ups, retrospectives, and steering committee meetings.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
Qualifications:
Required:
An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
PMP, or Agile/Scrum certification.
Azure Fundamentals Certification.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on data engineering and cloud-based projects.
Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Proven experience working with large data sets, data modeling, and data pipelines.
Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.
Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Desired:
Experience with machine learning models and AI in a cloud environment.
Familiarity with big data tools and technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks.
Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Pay Range
: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
