General Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager, and in accordance with protocols, policies and procedures established by the organization, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for all areas of the selection process, including but not limited to, partnering with hiring managers, sourcing active and passive candidates, creating and updating job descriptions and creating social media and retention strategies. The key to success will be the ability to develop a thorough understanding of the spaces in which we recruit and establish recruiting networks, relationships and innovative recruiting techniques with strategic initiatives created and communicated appropriately.
Position requires travel to Infinite Legacy regional offices (Baltimore, MD and Falls Church, VA).
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Organizational Development or related field; or 4 years of relevant human resources/recruitment work experience and PHR/SHRM-CP certification.
7 years of relevant human resources/recruiting work experience required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Clear understanding of employment laws and regulatory systems and requirements.
Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices.
Demonstrated skills in Windows and Microsoft environment (using Word, Excel and Power Point).
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organization, time management and customer service skills.
Ability to function independently and collaboratively; good problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and social media platforms.
Ability to travel to regional offices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manages a full cycle recruitment process which includes sourcing candidates, communication with candidates and hiring managers, screening and evaluating applicants, arranging interviews and participating in the selection process while maintaining a recruitment budget.
Manages and coordinates all college/job fairs by building relationships with the colleges and signing up for college/job fairs. Also scheduling presentations to local colleges to current students to promote positions at Infinite Legacy.
Partners with hiring managers to understand best recruitment strategies and identify hiring needs while ensuring job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.
Identifies best channels for internal and external advertising of job vacancies, including internal postings, professional associations, job boards, cold calls, personal referrals, social media outlets, and recruitment events/career fairs.
Sources active and passive candidates while developing a diverse pool of qualified candidates in advance of needs and continuously updates applicant tracking system.
Identifies key behavioral and technical competencies that drive success, shares recruitment sourcing strategies, and sets expectations around process and timeline.
Manages the strategic sourcing and social media strategy using platforms such as Glassdoor, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Infinite Legacy website, and related career pages.
Coordinates onsite and phone interviews, as well as schedules for interview teams.
Collaborates with HR Team to develop and implement non-traditional networking events and meetups while growing strong relationships with industry leaders and community partners.
Assists or executes the offer process while also supporting and participating in the onboarding orientation of new employees.
Manages employee referral program and formal internship program.
Tracks and reports key metrics designed to measure and predict recruiting activity and diversity initiatives.
Serves as a support and partner in special HR projects associated with employee engagement, satisfaction or organizational development and success.
Participates, supports, or leads special HR projects/activities such as The Infinite Legacy Wellness program, summer internship program, Donation University, simulation, professional development opportunities or other specialized programs.
Builds a strong network of contacts with other recruiters, HR professionals and hiring managers.
Other duties as assigned.
