We are seeking a highly motivated
Data Scientist
to join our National Intelligence Program providing analytic and software capabilities to include data visualization tools, language translation, data ingestions, extraction, and modeling.
This position can be in
Herndon, VA, McLean, VA or Chantilly, VA
and requires an
active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

The
Data Scientist
will be a key player in enhancing analytics and software capabilities. With expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining, the Data Scientist will support the development and implementation of sophisticated data models, visualization tools, and language translation processes. This role is pivotal in turning data into insights and insights into actionable business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the data discovery process, identifying valuable data sources and automating collection processes.
Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data, including data ingestion, cleansing, and verification.
Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms, fine-tuning them for high accuracy and reliability.
Design and develop robust data visualization tools to present data in a way that is easy to understand and actionable for stakeholders.
Implement language translation techniques within data models to handle multi-language data sources efficiently.
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to implement software solutions that leverage data science.
Conduct complex data studies and experimental design across varied domains and translate them into actionable recommendations.
Communicate predictive models, findings, and insights to a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
Stay current with the latest technology trends in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, bringing new ideas and methodologies to the team.
Document all processes and research to ensure alignment with company compliance standards, including data security and privacy.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing skills in data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning models.
Strong knowledge of and experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas).
Expertise in data mining techniques, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and database languages (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or Scala.
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience with application of AI/ML services offered by these platforms.
Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams and explaining complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
Experience with natural language processing and understanding of language translation methodologies.
Desired Skills:
Background in deploying solutions in a production environment.
Experience with end-to-end model development and deployment lifecycle.
Knowledge of advanced statistical theories, models, and methodologies.
Prior experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Multilingual skills with the ability to work on multi-language data sets.
