Senior Cloud Architect - AWS

At RapidScale, we are seeking a talented Senior Cloud Architect with expertise in AWS to join our team. In this role, you will work with a professional services team to assist customers in migrating to and utilizing AWS throughout their entire cloud adoption journey. Your responsibilities will include assessments, design, proof-of-concepts, documentation, planning, execution, and optimization. What You'll Do: Migration Assessment and Planning Evaluate application portfolios and strategize migrations to AWS. Deliver comprehensive written assessments including Total Cost of Ownership models, migration strategies, high-level project plans, and infrastructure designs. Implementation Play a hands-on role in implementation teams by defining and maintaining the overall technical vision for projects, creating detailed diagrams and configuration documentation, and educating customers on AWS services. Collaboration and Improvement Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the cloud Solutions Architecture practice. Assist pre-sales teams with project scoping and estimations, and contribute to the development of processes, templates, and project resources. Who You Are: You have a solid background in solutions architecture with a minimum of 8 years of experience and a deep understanding of AWS. You must possess hands-on experience with AWS migrations, Infrastructure-as-Code implementations, containerization technologies, and IP networking. AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification is required. Preferred Experience: AWS Certifications such as DevOps Pro, Advanced Networking, ML, Security, Database Specialty. Experience with PCI, HIPAA, and HITRUST compliance related to Cloud Infrastructure. Familiarity with Azure and/or GCP, and industry knowledge in Healthcare/HealthTech, Financial Services/FinTech, SaaS, or E-Commerce is highly desired.
