ResponsibilitiesThe Area Director of Sales will assist in oversight of the daily operations of the Sales, Catering, and Events Team, develop and implement sales strategies, including the solicitation of business from all markets. Responsibilities include assisting the Sales/CDOSM in the management of all aspects of the Sales department, including Meetings & Special Events.
The Area Director of Sales provides strategic leadership support to sales teams across all brands in the defined geographic area they support. The position is responsible for achieving property revenue goals, team booking pace goals, catering individual and property revenue achievement, guest and associate satisfaction, and the financial performance of the department in each participating property. This role evaluates and supports the hotel’s participation in various sales channels as appropriate (e.g., GSO, US Account Sales, Group Sales Offices, Revenue Management, etc.) and develops strong working relationships to maximize the hotel’s benefits. The ADS/DOGS will develop and implement multi-hotel strategies for all participating properties, focusing on delivering products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of guests and associates while providing a profitable return on investment.
QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years hotel sales management experience in all market segments.
