Job Description for the Senior Accountant:
Our Non Profit Client is looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting our mission through accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:
Prepare and oversee financial statements, budgets, and reports in accordance with GAAP and non-profit regulations.Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliations.Monitor grant management and compliance, including reporting to funders and stakeholders.Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Assist in annual audits and prepare necessary documentation for auditors.Collaborate with program managers to provide financial insights and support budgeting efforts.Ensure compliance with internal controls and contribute to process improvements.Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.CPA or similar certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a non-profit environment.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Benefits:
