The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server administration, as well as advanced SQL development skills. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing SQL Server environments, as well as designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support our applications..

Key Responsibilities:

Database design: Create or organize systems to store and secure dataDatabase maintenance: Monitor and optimize database performance, including query performance tuning and indexingData security: Implement security measures, including data encryption and user access controls.Data backup and restoration: Manage and automate regular backups and disaster recovery plansDatabase performance: Ensure that databases operate efficiently and without errorData archiving: Develop and implement strategies to manage storage costs and improve database performanceCollaboration: Collaborate with developers to design and implement new featuresTroubleshooting: Troubleshoot any data-related issuesPosition Location: This is an office based position located in Houston, Texas.

Required skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related fieldAt least 5 years of experience in database administration.Proficiency in SQL ServerStrong knowledge of T-SQL programming and performance tuning.Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.Understanding of security best practices, including role-based access controlFamiliarity with database monitoring and optimization tools.Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL).Preferred skills and qualifications:
