BLS North Carolina State Licensure Job Details
The CT/DX Tech perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operates CT Scanners and associated equipment with proficiency. Equipment includes scanner, post processing stations/programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport, and patient monitoring equipment. Examines requests and verifies orders on each patient, properly identifying and assisting patients, preparing patients for procedures, and documenting on worksheets. Interviews patients for medical history, correlates test results with exams, assumes responsibility for completion of exam until dictation, evaluates technical quality, recognizes abnormal anatomy, performs scanning, assists during invasive procedures, and practices radiation safety. Must have experience in both CT and Diagnostic Radiology. Additional Details
Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Involves occasional standing, walking, sitting, frequent stretching, bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, and exposure to physical conditions such as hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. Use of radiation safety guidelines is mandatory.
