This position works closely with their customer, operating as a single point of contact for Operations & Retail activation, and a critical role for our Northeast team. You will own the responsibility of driving Cereal category growth by focusing on category management, shelf optimization, and retail merchandising. You will work closely with internal Retail teams & broker resources to optimize execution. Utilize business expertise in developing sales programs that meet revenue goals for both WKKC and the customer, through effective display merchandising, innovation launches and incremental case sales. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Be the Cereal Aisle expert and advisor for a key Northeast customer, by building strong customer relationship with key operations personnel and grocery supervisors. Evaluate shelf sets, propose solutions, and implement approved sets by store with our reset team. Utilize Shelf planning software to create scenarios and measure results. Confirm effective positioning and distribution of category items/skus at the store level to drive sales. Manage our broker relationship and dedicated Representatives to develop reset schedule, implement approved sets, optimize store execution, meet customer requests, and implement key initiatives. Develop Cereal IQ through a variety of data resources to provide Business Reviews, insights, & strategy for Operation/store leads to grow Cereal sales and improve in-store metrics. (example: Circana data) Ensures effective, timely and concise communication & collaboration between account team, Retail team, Broker partners, and Customer to drive business relationships and achieve results. Provides plans for growth that address sales gaps, including leveraging Category Management/Strategy, Commercial strategy, Retail activation, and brand-building mix. Builds and maintains a deep knowledge of competitive activities/strategies, presence in market, big bets, innovation, and customer engagement; and uses that knowledge to be proactive in planning and execution. Prepare for Store Openings & Re-Openings, aligning with Operational Retail Leads to assist with aisle layout and shelving set-up. During these key times, day and timing flexibility will be needed based on the customer’s timeline to complete the work. Working Relationships Reports to Sr. Director of Team Sales Maintains strong relationships with Account team, Category Management, Retail teams, broker representatives, and Supply Chain to maximize sales, share and profit. 5-8 years equivalent experience in consumer-packaged goods is required. Significant sales experience in consumer-packaged goods and prefer New England Grocery market experience. Previous track record of success and consistent results in a sales organization/account management capacity is required. Previous experience required communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both writing and verbally. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications. Ability to lead, align, resolve conflict, and work in an ever-changing environment, with broker management experience being a plus. Ability to drive to store locations as needed, with travel reimbursement program provided. Up to 75% travel should be expected. This position requires regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Company policies. Additionally, the ability to interact effectively with other employees and work overtime, as necessary, is required.
