Full-TimeJob RoleThe Guidewire Engineer will have a thorough understanding of Guidewire products with a specific skill set in Policy Center, Billing Center, or Claim Centre. This role will work with internal/external customers to design, develop, make program and/or configuration & integration changes to deliver business functionality within Guidewire. The individual will be a leader within the team and help develop GW skills and experience with other team members.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Design, develop, and configure Guidewire Suite of Products as per client specifications to automate underwriting processes in policy management systems while maintaining stability and scalability of system architecture.Collaborate with the client’s technical team consisting of senior Engineers, designers and develop system integrations with multiple vendors in existing distributed system architecture.Lead Application Development on Guidewire Config including Screen, Workflows, UW Rules, Forms and Rating Engine.Automate unit testing and test data generation for comprehensive testing coverage.Perform rapid prototyping and create Proofs Of Concept (POC) and communicate the design concept to IT Product Owner and other Senior Management.Perform Guidewire Cloud Health Check and security analysis across all Guidewire Centers including Policy, Claims, Billing and Digital Portal.Provide technical guidance on critical Production Support issues across Policy Center, Claim Center, and Billing Center, including performing bug fixes.Analyze complex inter-dependent issues in Guidewire and Non-Guidewire system architecture, report them to individual system owners and work with Technical Lead to resolve them by recommending effective technical solutions.Develop System Design specification document all system Integration with Guidewire Suite of Products and gain approval from IT Product Owner.Work with Dev-Ops and Technical Support team to debug installation issues, build deployment issues on various environments including DEV, QA, SIT, UAT and Production.Knowledge:10+ years of experience with Guidewire applications PC, BC or CC.An understanding of the insurance business, an ability to talk to business analysts and SMEs in order to translate business requirements into system changes.A full understanding of the GW product suite and the frameworks/options available for Development.Knowledge in configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins.Database definition and design at the application level; experience relating to screen-related changes, changes to wizards, workflows, validation rules, and business rules.Definition, design and configuration of the company structure (single or multiple internal companies, organization structure, regions, branches, users, roles, permissions, producer codes).Skills and Abilities:Must have experience using Java and J2EE.Highly proficient in SQL (T-SQL or PL/SQL).Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and technical skills.Prior experience with GIT, Jenkins, Rally or other similar applications.Experience with Insurance Systems and GW capabilities.Guidewire Certifications.Ability to drive the work forward, collaborating with the business and technical staff on a daily basis.A strong sense of customer service with a strong desire to deliver.Education:B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field.Remark:All successful applicants will receive an official invite within 2 weeks of your application to discuss the next steps in the Job Application.
