The Talent Acquisition Specialist is charged with recruiting and retaining employees, as well as ensuring a high-quality employee experience through interviewing, onboarding, and training by utilizing clear communication with an emphasis on employee engagement. This position will be responsible for the full life cycle recruiting and coordinating with hiring managers to determine the best talent sourcing plans. The Talent Acquisition Specialist also performs other human resource-related duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the evolution of talent acquisition team towards a function that is consistently viewed as a strategic, consultative, and proactive partner with the businessDevelop, lead, and coordinate recruiting strategies and efforts across the companyCollaborate with business leaders to understand their hiring needs and goalsEnsure that new hires are a fit with our "Guiding Values" and that those values are reinforced during our hiring, onboarding, and training processes to all new hires and current employeesOversee hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, maintaining ATS, performing reference checks when applicable, scheduling background checks, pre-employment drug screens and physicals, and ensuring proper completion of on-boarding documents including I-9 documentationInform job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.Track and monitor recruitment efforts with clear metrics to evaluate efforts and provide regular updates to hiring managers and human resources on progress against hiring targets and other key talent acquisition initiativesAssist with preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminatingLead initiative to maintain current position titles and descriptions including related EEO and WC classificationsAid in creation and maintenance of human resource policies to be capable of explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employeesEnsure new hire paperwork is accurately completed in timely manner in HRIS and onboarding stages are communicated to appropriate parties including HR and ITWork with HR to address any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations when applicable to support employee performance and action plansBuild strong relationships with external resources, fostering trust and promoting collaborationPrepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation, training programs, and evaluating effectiveness of current training programsMaintain records of employee participation in all training and development programsAssist human resource department with filing and maintaining employee records as neededParticipate in the Bailey Company's safety, training, and environmental sustainability programs.Handles other duties and special projects as assignedEducation/Training/Experience :
Bachelor's degree (required)Recruiting: 3 years +HR: 2 years (PHR or SPHR preferred)Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
