is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
Junior Software Engineer (Software Engineering, Junior Analyst)
to join our dynamic development team. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited professional experience looking to build a career in software engineering. This position supports a Federal Government client from our Lexington Park, MD location and currently requires a hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities Software Development:
Assist in coding, debugging, and implementing software applications in various programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript Testing and Quality Assurance:
Participate in the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of software applications Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation for software projects, including design specifications, user manuals, and technical reports Collaboration:
Work closely with senior developers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and contribute to the development process Learning and Development:
Continuously improve your technical skills by staying up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies
Travel Total travel is expected to be approximately 10% to CONUS sites Required Qualifications Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with team members Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements
Desired Qualifications: Internship or prior work experience in software development Understanding of penetration testing, multilevel security architecture, and cross domain solutions Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), integrated development environments (IDEs), and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile) Current security clearance
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Clearance All applicants for this position must be able to obtain a
