The Contract Services Sales Specialist identifies, develops, manages and retains revenue-generating opportunities for the organization through the strategic and tactical sales and support of all product and service lines. They will directly, or indirectly, manage the process from lead validation to product and services delivery, working with marketing, customer service, operations and delivery providers to ensure the highest level of supply chain management is delivered to customers.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Clinical Commercial Operations, and is part of the Genomic Medicine Commercial Team, located in the US and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
Drive growth as part of the Global Biopharma Nanomedicine services and solutions team. Meet or exceed sales targets assigned via direct sales activities with customers, and by collaborating with other cross functions and sales team members, service sales/alliance managers, and technical specialists. Negotiate and lead multi-million dollar complex deals concerning intellectual property assets including royalty term sheets and agreements. Analyze and articulate customer and market needs, prospecting from translational discovery, PD to cGMP manufacturing. Consult and gain credibility with customers on the appropriate solutions to propose when moving between research through clinical to marketed applications. Who you are:
BSc. in a Life Sciences discipline is required. A Ph.D. and strong nanoparticle formulation or cell/molecular biology background is an asset. 7+ years of experience in a commercial role in the biotechnology industry. Demonstrated ability to work directly with Customer at all levels within the organization from Process Development scientist to CEO, CFO. Demonstrated superior problem solving and interpersonal and account management skills in a commercial environment. Experience selling Biotech/BioPharma services and or other contract manufacturing services. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: 50% travel required with occasional travel across borders. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation science and or LNP contract manufacturing services. cGMP manufacturing and or Regulatory requirements for Ph1 and beyond.
