About the Role:

As a member of the Product and Engineering team at PitchBook, you will be part of a team of big thinkers, innovators, and problem solvers who strive to deepen the positive impact we have on our customers and our company every day. The Core Experience team at PitchBook is on a mission to transform how investors and other private equity data users find and use data. We are looking for a big thinker and customer obsessed Senior Product Manager to improve user visit experiences to drive more visits among PitchBook users. With your proven technical product expertise and passion for great end-user experiences, you will drive innovation, developing new experiences and leveraging new technologies that differentiate PitchBook in the private equity data market. You will create and own a product strategy that delivers tangible results that will ultimately better the experience for end-users to find and discover insights that inform their investment strategies.

Senior Product Managers at PitchBook serve both as strategists and as leaders. You will be the subject matter expert (SME) and go-to resource for your portfolio across PitchBook. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute initiatives for the Core Experience product roadmap. You will be the champion for our clients, drive awareness of their pain points, and identify business opportunities across the organization. You will also have the chance to mentor team members within the Product organization.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap to increase adoption and engagement of PitchBook products among users. Identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation by working backwards from the customer journey. Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch to end-of-life. Keep up with rapidly evolving technologies like Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Natural Language Search (NLS) to ensure our Core Experience products meet the needs of our customers and are delivered quickly to capture user feedback and insights to learn and iterate. Collaborate with design, engineering, data science, and adjacent product teams to ensure Core Experience products scale and provide meaningful impact to end-users. Actively define product roadmap prioritization and create business cases for new opportunities. Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors. Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested.

Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as product manager for a B2C or B2B web or mobile. 5+ years product management experience creating product strategy, roadmaps, aligning stakeholders, and setting product vision. 5+ years of experience managing technically complex products that include front-end CX, artificial intelligence, machine learning, recommendations, or related fields. Strong written and verbal communication skills with cross-functional and executive level leaders. Self-directed: sets and meets deadlines, multi-tasks, and prioritizes. Strong bias for action. Willingness to roll-up sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals. Ability to leverage tools (SQL, MixPanel, FullStory) to quickly access and analyze data to drive product decision making. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily.

Compensation

Annual base salary: $140,000-$180,000. Target annual bonus percentage: 10%.

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an ongoing basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
