Responsible for developing and implementing effective internal communication strategies that keep staff informed, engaged, and aligned with our mission. The ideal candidate will create compelling content for the Children's Aid website and other communication materials, create internal communications such as newsletters and announcements, and monitor media coverage. The role will also play a key role in planning and executing events/activities to promote the Children's Aid brand. Essential Duties: Understand and promote the organization's mission, vision, and core values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures. Develop and implement internal communication strategies to foster staff engagement and enhance organizational transparency. Create, edit, and publish engaging content for the Children's Aid website, external newsletters, and other communication materials. Write, design, and distribute internal communications such as email announcements and newsletters. Monitor and analyze media coverage relevant to Children's Aid, and provide timely responses to media requests. Assist in coordinating media interviews, ensuring that key messages are consistently conveyed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and execute events, activities, and initiatives aimed at promoting the Children's Aid brand and programs. Support the creation of digital content, including content for social media platforms in coordination with the Digital Strategy team. Track and report communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of internal and external communications. Ensure consistent messaging aligned with Children's Aid's mission, values, and brand identity across all channels. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related fields. In lieu of a degree, 3-5 years of experience in journalism or media relations/corporate communications. Key Competencies: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to create compelling narratives and clear, concise messaging. Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Highly motivated, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining a collaborative approach. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and staff at all levels across the organization. Experience in event planning, media relations, and content creation is preferred. Perform other duties as assigned.
