Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Hematology and Oncology in Washington

Job Title: Physician Job Specialty: Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day - 5x8 - 09:00AM - 05:00PM - 40 Hours per week Guaranteed Hours: Information not provided Experience: Fellowship with a minimum of 2 years License: Board Certification required Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Epic/Beacon experience is a plus Job Description: - Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, five days a week. - Provide call coverage overnight for clinic patients only. - No procedural requirements; Bone Marrow Transplants (BMT) are not involved. - Role consists of approximately 60% oncology and 40% hematology. - Average daily patient census is 5. - Hospitalists are responsible for the first call. - Predominantly manage solid tumor cases. - Possible involvement with lymphoma, but no management of leukemia cases. - Collaborate with a well-rounded team, including Medical Assistants (MAs) and Registered Nurses (RNs). - Manage approximately 15 patient encounters per shift. - Facility operates at Trauma Level 2 with Pediatric Level 0. - Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days, with expedited privileges available for candidates with a clean history.
