Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Psychiatry in Montana

Job Title: Physician Job Specialty: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Job Duration: 13 weeks, ongoing Shift: Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Not specified License: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry board-certification required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Minimum board certification eligibility Job Description: - Work in the Psychiatric Youth Treatment Unit (PYTU) treating patients aged 5-17. - Average patient volume ranges from 8-12 per day. - No admissions from the Emergency Department; may handle direct admissions from regional hospitals. - Regional admissions are coordinated through an in-house transfer center. - Locums are not on call during non-business hours and cover only scheduled shifts. - Required specialty skills include anxiety disorders, affective disorder, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders. - Preferred skills in eating disorders, developmental disorders, group therapy, and family therapy. - Responsibilities include pharmacotherapy, seclusion therapy, and restraint application. - Secure internal paging system is used for communication. - Facility is a level 1 trauma center with pediatric level 3.
