What You'll Do
ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Field Services Team Leader to join our Manassasteam. We offer opportunities for professional development with additional incentives as you advance your skills and gain experience. In this role, you will successfully ensure that our technicians are properly trained and organized through supervision within the Field Services department. Responsibilities Field Activities : Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites. Safety : Inventory maintenance and organization of supplies; Calibration and maintenance of field equipment to include keeping accurate records; Promote safety and safety culture; Ensure proper PPE is used on project sites; Assist with company required safety training. Communication : Daily communication with technicians, project managers, and general contractors; Collaborate with Team Leaders to support scheduling operations and recruiting to maintain appropriate staff among your team; Assist with management of field staff; Actively mentor and train junior field staff as they grow in their careers; Provide support to project managers and department manager as needed; Attend project meetings as requested; May participate in business development, marketing, and client development. Encourage continued participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities provided by organizations such as ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, various State DOTs, WACEL, and others, as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 4+ years of related experience. Must have and be willing to maintain basic certifications. Advanced certifications may be required based on the work performed. Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds. Advanced understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM testing standards. Proficient at data interpretation and evaluation of CMT techniques and results. Experience performing field and/or laboratory tests on construction materials and the ability to evaluate test results in terms of specification compliance. Strong understanding of construction materials testing and evaluation techniques. Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing). Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
