ARFA Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You will work closely with development and operations teams to support and streamline their workflows.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, configure, and optimize Linux servers in a production environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux systems and applications.
Automate routine tasks using shell scripts or other scripting languages.
Implement and enforce security best practices for Linux servers.
Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and performance tuning.
Monitor system performance and resource utilization, making recommendations for improvements.
Conduct system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Document configurations, processes, and procedures related to Linux administration.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Linux and open-source software.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Linux Engineer or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
Hands-on experience with server configuration and management.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated services.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
