Job Details

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to support the company in managing financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss tracking, and reconciliation of operating and balance sheet accounts. This individual will also take on the responsibility of guiding and mentoring our accounting team. Additional oversight includes accounting operations related to income audits, cashiering, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax compliance. The Assistant Controller will ensure smooth month-end processes, maintaining strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and driving profitability for the company's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor the Accounting Team. Aid in completing the month-end and year-end close process. Assist with the preparation and review of monthly financial statements for the company's portfolio of properties. Support the monthly inventory counts for hotel restaurants and markets. Collaborate with General Managers and Operations Leaders on the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts. Provide oversight for income audits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cashiering operations to ensure they follow best practices. Oversee Gross Receipts and Business Tax filings, including the preparation of 1099-MISC forms. Contribute to annual tax preparation for both hotel and development entities. Reconcile monthly TOT (Transient Occupancy Tax) and sales tax payable. Support bi-annual financial audits for hotels, both in-person and remotely. Oversee Food & Beverage cost of sales, including monthly inventory reconciliations. Requirements:

Experience in budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss reporting, and ledger reconciliation for operating and balance sheet accounts. Previous accounting experience in a hotel or hospitality company.
