The National Security Division (NSD) is dedicated to addressing the Department's top priority: combating terrorism and other national security threats. Our Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division delivers comprehensive IT services to support NSD's Infrastructure & Operations, Software Development, Engineering, and Service Desk needs.
Role Overview
Join our team as a pivotal member responsible for administering, supporting, and maintaining network capabilities, including both wide area and local area networks. This role involves evaluating network changes, assessing performance, and resolving connectivity issues to ensure seamless network operations.
Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain network capabilities with a focus on wide and local area networks. Conduct operations and support activities to ensure optimal network performance. Evaluate network changes for operational impact and troubleshoot connectivity problems. Manage and troubleshoot local area network performance. Maintain network infrastructure in accordance with STIG guidelines. Utilize Excel spreadsheets for record-keeping and documentation. Required Qualifications
5 years of experience in Network Administration/Engineering. Proven expertise with Cisco technologies. Strong understanding of Layer 1 and 2 troubleshooting and technologies. Preferred Qualifications
Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly desired.
Educational Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but this can be substituted with an additional 2 years of relevant experience.
Security Clearance
Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a DOJ SCI is required.
Work Environment
The candidate must be able to operate effectively within a general office environment.
