Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Olympia, Washington.

Travel Active WA/Compact license. Certs Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Experience Required: CVAR EXP. A MUST. 1 year of strong clinical in acute care cardiac, 2 years minimum years (if they have not traveled)
Required Skills: Knowledge in recovering conscious and moderate sedation Strong IV Start Skills Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation Strong assessment skills; able to recognize early signs of patient decline Pre/Post procedure care in cardiac interventions (no intra-op expectations) Tube and Drain management (Chest Tubes, Hemovacs, Wound Vabs, nephrostomy tubes, etc) Central line (PICC) management skills
Floating: May float to ORs admit/recovery which is a very similar patient workflow.
Level 3 Trauma Center
General Information Beds: 6 CVAR beds support 1 IR, 1 Cath Lab and 1 Hybrid room
Patient Types: Cardiac Recovery: Cardiac Cath (Radial & Femoral), PCIs, Pacemaker Insertion, cardioversion Traveler will not pull sheaths IR Recovery: Vertebroplasty, IVC Filter, Endograph, PICC Lines, Lumbar Punctures, any imaging needing sedation Pre/Post sedation care - Phase 2 and until discharge Patients that required sedation during imaging study (ex. MRI) Also recover inpatients from IR/Cardiac procedures Per the manager on 6/3: It does not require ventilator management skills at all just simple nasal cannula or at most oxygen mask. There is some EKG monitoring of telemetry and blood pressures but thats the extent of the cardio pulmonary skills.
Orientation: Classroom orientation (get badge, net learning, EPIC overview) 1-2 Weeks of orientation with buddy call starting the 1st week. Traveler Telemetry Competency Required Required to be completed and passed prior to start. SimpliFi Compliance is responsible for grading this exam. Monday Friday Unit is open from 0530-2030 12hr Shift (variable start time) Can start as early as 0600 00, 07, 08 are common start times Variable day off No Weekends Required 1-2 nights of Call Required.
