For additional information about e-STORAGE, visit www.csestorage.com Position Summary: The Commercial Director, Americas will play a critical role in our rapidly growing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) team and our expansion within the North American and LATAM markets. This role involves owning and leading competitive bid processes, negotiating contracts with contractors and suppliers, conducting cost analysis, and making strategic product decisions for projects of varying scope and complexity in North America and LATAM. The Director will also lead and support the North American and LATAM-based Commercial and Contract Management team to meet organizational goals within the region. Primary Responsibilities: Own and lead the competitive bid processes for projects in North America and LATAM, analyzing commercial and legal aspects of Customer RFPs to develop competitive submissions and grow the execution pipeline. Lead the customer and subcontractor contract negotiation phase for equipment, services, and EPC contracts by collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks. Develop key requirements for RFPs to subcontractors and evaluate bid results. Conduct bid analysis and modeling to support the strategic procurement process. Collaborate with the supply chain to capture competitive intelligence and generate insights on the supply chain and BESS landscape. Interact with external parties, including customers, vendors, and potential suppliers. Actively identify opportunities to improve business processes and support their implementation. Coach members of the Commercial and Contract Management team to grow and learn within their roles. Partner with the North American and LATAM Business Development team to plan and implement growth and contracting strategies across the region. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Experience in commercial contract negotiation and RFP management for equipment supply in the energy sector. Proficient in aggregating, understanding, and responding to requirements and information as part of the RFP process. Proven experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize responses and decision-making processes. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Strong enthusiasm for working with customers and suppliers. Strong "intrapreneurial" mindset with skills in process analysis, problem-solving, and strategy development. Ability to make critical decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data and under time pressure. Willingness and ability to travel and work intensively during negotiation periods. Excellent communication skills and confidence in executive-level presentations. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills in virtual project teams. Ability to manage multiple complex activities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and the bigger picture.
