This position is located at the RTS Operations Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Essential Functions Support the Software Engineering Department by installing, maintaining, monitoring multiple database servers on physical and virtual platforms in support of RTS initiatives. Perform the installation, patching, and monitoring of database servers on Red Hat Linux Enterprise systems; continuously review and implement best practices for installation, hardening, maintenance, and database backup plans. Maintain a secure computing environment including but not limited to: applying quarterly Oracle patches; analyzing and/or remediating open DISA Database STIG findings within Oracle. Provide clear documentation of the database setup and architecture; write procedures for backup and disaster recovery. Other related duties as assigned. Required Skills Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills with Oracle Databases. Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills with RHEL. Experience with Oracle RMAN / Oracle Wallet / Oracle account management / Oracle licensing. Ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment with time constraints. While this position is an individual contributor, ability to interact effectively with team members cross-functionally is essential. Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent relevant experience. Five (5) or more years' experience working as an Oracle Database Administrator. Must have or be able to obtain prior to start date and maintain, a Security, CySA, GICSP, or similar certification meeting DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01 baseline certification for IAT Level II. Must have or be able to obtain prior to start date and maintain a CE (Computing Environment), Oracle Certified Professional, Linux,Server, or similar certifications to meet DoD 8570.01-M certifications required for the applicable operating system and/or security related tools/devices for this position to meet the IAT Level II requirements. Must apply extensive knowledge of a variety of Cyber Security field concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of enclave systems. Additional Eligibility Qualifications The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. Preference will be given to qualified candidates that already possess a DoD Interim Secret/Secret/Top Secret Clearance.
