Photonics Engineer

Job Summary: Design and develop high-performance photodiodes for applications in telecommunications, medical imaging, and consumer electronics. Ensure device optimization, scalability, and seamless integration into optoelectronic systems. Key Responsibilities: Design photodiodes using semiconductor materials (e.g., silicon, InGaAs). Develop and test prototypes to meet performance specifications. Use simulation tools (TCAD, COMSOL) for modeling and optimization. Collaborate with manufacturing for scalable, cost-effective production. Troubleshoot performance issues and conduct failure analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field. 3 years of photodiode or semiconductor design experience. Expertise in semiconductor physics, photonics, and optoelectronics. Preferred: Experience with avalanche or PIN photodiodes. Knowledge of fiber optic communication systems.
