This role involves reviewing returns, developing a talented tax team, and overseeing client accounts for businesses across multiple industries. The ideal candidate is an experienced public accounting professional with 7 years in tax, with strong interpersonal skills and a growth-driven mindset. Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 / year DOE Tax Manager Responsibilities: Oversee all tax department operations, assuming ownership and working to align processes with best practices Provide team leadership, focusing on training and developing tax staff to ensure quality in return preparation Review complex business and individual tax returns Act as a client-facing representative, fostering strong client relationships and addressing client needs proactively Manage tax planning and compliance services, including bookkeeping, tax prep, and tax planning for businesses and business owners Ensure timely filing of a high volume of returns per year Collaborate with leadership on potential improvements in software, processes, and team structure Tax Manager Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management capacity Proficiency in QuickBooks Strong client engagement and interpersonal skills Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop team members Current or recent experience in public accounting Benefits: Competitive health insurance coverage with upgrade options available after 90 days Dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with a 4% company match, eligible after one year 2 weeks PTO in the first year, 3 weeks after 3 years, and 12-14 paid holidays Flexible start times Hybrid work option after tax season Apply Now
