Job Description Company: Weekes Forest Products is a 100% employee-owned national wholesale building material distributor. Weekes is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Account Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be in-market in either Omaha, NE or Des Moines IA. and will work closely with all internal and external customers utilizing in-depth knowledge of our products, programs, and team members to solve problems and close sales. The candidate must be based in these areas or in the Minneapolis/St.Paul metro. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in B2B sales/distribution, customer service, and marketing, ideally with experience in the building materials or construction industry. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. The position offers a competitive compensation and benefits plan. Responsibilities: The candidate must: Plan and execute personal sales strategy to maximize efforts and results Research and identify sales opportunities through work with internal associates, industry publications, online sources, and client and vendor networking Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective and existing customers through phone, email, and in-person meetings Develop and deliver effective sales presentations to negotiate and close profitable business across all products and services Ensure all clients have the most up-to-date product samples and brochures; work with vendors to ensure proper sales positioning Consult with clients to determine requirements and expectations and recommend specific solutions; calculate estimates to provide competitive pricing Interface with internal team and supply partners as necessary to ensure scheduled deadlines and requests are met Expedite the resolution of customer problems and concerns Obtain and maintain complete and accurate information on prospective and existing clients in contact management database Requirements Requirements: The candidate should: Have 3 years' sales and distribution experience, building materials or construction industry experience strongly preferred Hold an associate's degree or have comparable work experience Have a proven track record of B2B sales/account management and the ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and close high-level sales Possess strong persuasion and negotiation skills with the ability to use a consultative approach to close sales Demonstrate proficiency in cross-selling product lines and the ability to identify and develop new client and market opportunities Have a strong customer focus and be passionate about building long-term business relationships Have outstanding multi-tasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to complete difficult assignments independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, organizational, and follow-through skills Demonstrate general mathematical computational ability and a strong attention to detail Have computer proficiency, preferably in Microsoft Office programs and CRM Please, no calls to Weekes Forest Products.
