Salary: $90,560.00 - $103,219.00 Annually Location : Gwinnett County, GA Job Type: Full-Time Merit Job Number: 24-02776 Department: Department of Information Technology Services Opening Date: 10/15/2024 Closing Date: 12/15/2024 11:59 PM Eastern FLSA: Exempt Class Summary Job Description The Senior Information Technology Project Manager will be responsible for actively supporting and/or leading complex system and infrastructure projects or programs including the planning, management, and implementation of the assigned projects across the County Enterprise. This role will not only assist in creating critical project and program management deliverables (e.g. Project Charter, Project Plans, Critical Issues Log, Analysis, etc.), but will also be expected to support the teams in achieving priorities, goals and strategies with key stakeholders. This position will report directly to the IT Project Management Office (PMO). Essential Duties Adhere to Gwinnett County ITS PMO project management standards and methodologies for technology implementations based on waterfall, agile or hybrid framework Manage the planning, assignment, and execution of project tasks using Microsoft Project 2019 and other standard tools Deliver projects in accordance with best practices for project delivery; executing any or all of the following: Create and maintain key project artifacts throughout the project lifecycle Development of project charter Development of project plan and schedule Provide consultation on operational and infrastructure requirements, standards, and configurations Facilitate and document project status meetings Distribute timely project status reports Apply strong skills and experience in issue resolution, influencing team members and other stakeholders, conducting difficult negotiations and managing to stringent timelines for project deliverables Monitor, Identify and effectively mitigate risks to minimize impacts to project scope, schedule, costs or quality Facilitate and document project closeout Other Job Requirements/Information This job is a civilian position in either a public safety department or in Information Technology with close ties to public safety. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories, and fingerprinting. This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. Grade The grade for this position is C45(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, or a closely related field AND Five or more years of professional, progressively responsible financial experience An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
