NETA Technician

Job Responsibilities : Travel to industrial and commercial customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and perform start-up on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems (480V to 600kV). Perform transformer tests (Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance). Test electro-mechanical and solid-state relays. Conduct cable testing (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot). Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches. Test switchgear and circuit breakers. Perform relay calibration and power metering. Rotate on-call duty for emergency responses. Minimum Qualifications : Associate’s degree in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC), EE Degree, or equivalent military training. NETA Certification preferred. 2 years of switchgear testing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerDB. OSHA, NFPA 70-E, and CPR/First Aid training preferred (training provided).
