Role & Responsibilities: · Lead warehouse workers for inbound/outbound CFS activities of air and ocean cargo. - Physical inspection, cargo receipt, on hand control and close interaction with freight forwarding office (air and ocean). - TMS experience to include management of inbound and outbound loads, transload operations and KPI management. - Process cargo physically. Required to be hands on facing the day to day operation, setting the example for the rest of the team. · Follow work procedures and standards that allow MEC to compete at the highest level of the logistics service providers in the USA. · Maintains operational plans to include all business requirements. This includes objectives, targets, labor hours, KPIs, action plans, and budgets consistent with goals set by management. Meet financial objectives for the facility. · Thorough experience on WMS; utilizing full functionality including RF. · Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met. · Ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. · Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives. · Maintain a clean and organized facility that is “tour ready" at all times. · Ensure compliance with rules and laws relating to USA warehousing and distribution regulations (CTPAT, OSHA, etc.). · Ensure safety standards in MEC’s logistics facility. · Must be able to work the following schedule: Mon/Wed/Thurs 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm; Fridays 3:00 pm - 12:00 am; Sundays 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. You will be off on Tuesdays and Saturdays. · To perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent preferred. · Minimum 3 years’ experience on CFS, warehouse operations supervisory experience, specifically air freight inbound/outbound, receiving and shipping. · Proven experience with international freight management air/ocean. · Experienced with warehouse management systems. Cargowise experience preferred. · Proven team work and reporting to weekly management meeting to review daily issues and determine actions to solve them. · Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required. · Strong tactical (hands on) lead experience.
