SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Director directs the organization's overall supply chain operations including purchasing, inventory, selection of suppliers, and distribution of finished goods. They develop and implement supply chain strategies & processes that ensure achievement of organization goals. They will negotiate purchase agreements to ensure optimal contracts, pricing, and lead times. They will utilize data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance, trends, forecast inventory, manage inventory, and distribution of finished goods. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops sourcing strategies to reduce overall costs considering working capital. Experience with contract and Master Supplier Agreements (MSA’s) development and negotiation. Develops processes that are robust and expandable to a growing domestic & international operations environment. Implement lean practices and principles within the supply chain organization. Reduces and eliminates waste and non-valued components, promoting efficiency, and streamlining various aspects of the entire supply chain. Work with other Operating Companies withing the Food Sorting and Handling Solutions Group to ensure alignment of overall supply chain activities. Manages and executes inventory management strategies and develops processes with other functional groups to eliminate and reduce obsolete inventory. Works with other departments such as Engineering, Service, Quality, Finance, Sales, and Operations to develop and execute material cost reduction strategies including but not limited to low-cost Country Sources (LCCS), negotiation, and product re-design. Responsible for supplier development and management methodologies. Supports ERP upgrades, experience with Dynamics 365 is preferred. Day to day activities that can be performed through the team, or by this position include: Employee and organizational development. Process development and continuous improvement of flow of good. Purchase requisition execution allowing on time machine build assembly. Reviews requisitions for compliance with company procedures. Resolves NCR issues in a timely manner with suppliers. Supplier management and corrective action response process ownership Develops budgets that include labor, controllable expense items, and working capital items. Analyzes these budgets for compliance with company objectives. Inventory management including accuracy, turns, safety stock levels, and E&O inventory analysis. Experience managing Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) contract manufacturers. Guides the buying team to meet production and aftermarket demands. Formulates and executes sourcing strategies, tools, and programs that align with organizational objectives. Devises supplier-specific strategies in alignment with the company's vision and collaborates with internal stakeholders to establish vendor compliance initiatives. Crafts vendor inventory programs and offers demand planning insights to vital suppliers. Vigilantly monitors planning and procurement practices to secure the best pricing and delivery performance, while effectively managing working capital. Negotiates, establishes, and oversees supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and expectations. Spearheads the identification of new supply sources and nurtures existing vendor relationships. Collaborates directly with product development and engineering teams to support sourcing activities and supplier selection. Develops, documents, and upholds standard operating procedures for supply chain and procurement. Collaborates with plant personnel to optimize inventories and increase inventory turns. Continuously assesses cost-effectiveness by scrutinizing transactions for accuracy in pricing, adherence to agreement terms, and supplier performance compliance. Leads necessary inventory adjustments in response to external factors such as shortages or changes in forecasts, lead times, engineering, and part usage. Pioneers cost-saving initiatives to achieve year-over-year savings. Designs and implements key performance indicators to monitor departmental performance and takes corrective actions as needed. Consistently evaluates, tracks and analyzes supplier quality, delivery, and service performance, while coordinating corrective actions as required. In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and practices in supply chain management. Other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in Global Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations Management with 10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft AX or D365 APICS training SQL experience and or Power BI considered plus Knowledge and use of Lean tools, including VSM, Kanban, FMEA, and root cause analysis. Mechanical or electrical aptitude and ability to read and interpret CAD drawings for a range of product commodities. ERP experience Travel May include domestic or international travel, up to 25% of the time. Why Join Key Technology?
