Staff Attorney Position - Full-Time (Fully Onsite in Encino) A prominent national plaintiff-side law firm located in Encino is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced team of staff attorneys to join their dynamic practice. This position offers an opportunity to work on high-stakes, complex matters, particularly with a focus on class action litigation related to the opioid crisis. The role is permanent, fully onsite, and presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful legal work on behalf of those harmed by the opioid epidemic. Job Overview: As a staff attorney, you will be assigned to a specialized set of cases, specifically involving opioid-related litigation. You will engage in document review and discovery processes using iConect Xera, where you will analyze documents for relevance and assist in shaping case strategy. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, requiring a commitment of at least two years with the firm. Although the role is similar to a temporary project, it is structured as a permanent position, meaning that your involvement in this critical work will be continuous with no gaps in assignment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct document review and discovery analysis using iConect Xera, identifying key materials and ensuring all relevant information is properly cataloged for trial preparation. Contribute to case strategy, provide insights into document discovery, and assist in litigation support for ongoing and new matters, particularly in opioid-related class actions. Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to ensure the efficient management of cases, legal research, and preparation of materials. Handle other litigation-related tasks, as needed, to support the firm's cases in the opioid crisis and other relevant matters. Qualifications: A Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, with admission to the bar (California preferred). Prior experience in litigation, with a preference for those familiar with class action disputes, complex litigation, or opioid-related matters. Strong legal research and writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. An eagerness to engage in long-term, meaningful work, with a minimum commitment of two years. Compensation: Base Salary: $160,000 - $185,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Discretionary Bonus: Eligible for an end-of-year bonus based on firm profitability and individual performance. (Eligibility for bonus is contingent upon active employment through the end of the calendar year.)
