Certification Details BLS NRP (as it's a NICU position, including Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification) State licensure as registered nurse in Texas Job Details CONTRACT - RN - NICU (675) - 13 WEEKS - 7:00P-7:00A BLS & NRP, no call, NICU experience required Job Requirements Must have - NRP, Management of feeding pumps, IV pumps, med titration, med administration, ventilator management, Time management with 4 patient assignments Preferred - Experienced with Infant Driven Feedings and working with therapy service line, STABLE course Best personality Fit: Open to feedback and critique, punctual, and team player, Non-judgemental, compassionate and empathetic in working with parents Schedule Information Shift: 7P-7A Weekends: Yes No call requirements Unit Specific Information Patient Ratios – 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 & 4:1 List typical procedures performed on units: Physical assessment, VS, diapering, bottle and tube feedings, breastfeeding assistance, medication administration, IV fluid therapy management including TPN, thermoregulation, Collaboration with RT for respiratory support management Additional Details Dress Code: Scrub Color - Galaxy Blue or Royal Blue Awards/Recognition: Approaching 300 days CLABSI free, Zero in-house NICU mortalities in 2023 Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: We are one of the first NICUs in El Paso to have a unit that combines private rooms, semi-private rooms, and pods all in one unit.
