Title: Buyer – Dietary/Herbal Supplements Location: Oxnard, CA Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer for our dietary and herbal supplements division. This full-time position requires 40 hours per week on-site in Oxnard. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of high-quality supplements to meet customer demand while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the supplement market, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for health and wellness. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing and Purchasing: Identify and evaluate suppliers of dietary and herbal supplements, negotiating prices and terms to secure favorable contracts. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess. Quality Assurance: Ensure all purchased products meet regulatory requirements and company quality standards. Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues that arise. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues. Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze purchasing costs and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Qualifications: AA or BA degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Nutrition, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in buying or procurement, preferably in dietary supplements or a related industry. Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management. Knowledge of dietary supplement regulations and compliance standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
