Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionRoof Truss Assemblers will be working in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere to construct wood roof trusses according to shop drawings using pre-cut lumber and metal gusset plates.Responsibilities Construct wood roof trusses according to shop drawings Use pre-cut lumber and metal gusset plates Operate hand tools and basic power tools such as drills and saws Perform tasks involving climbing, lifting, pushing, and kneeling Work on feet for 8-10 hour shifts Lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally Collaborate effectively within a team to complete tasksEssential Skills Basic math skills, including reading a tape measure Prior experience using a hammer Knowledge of basic power tools (drills and saws) Ability to work on feet for extended periods Capability to lift 25-50 pounds as requiredAdditional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor, production, or construction Familiarity with machine operation, packaging, and inspection Teamwork and effective communication skillsWhy Work Here?Enjoy a supportive work culture that promotes from within. You may be exposed to loud noise. The team size typically includes 4-5 members working together to assemble trusses. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, and your choice of shirt or sweatshirt. The hours are 8-hour shifts, with the first shift running from 5:30 am to 3:00 pm (Monday-Friday) and the second shift from 3:15 pm to 12:45 am (Monday-Friday).Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Salem, Wisconsin.About Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
