From your PASSION to ours The RSPC (Reception, Skimming, Pasteurization, Concentration) Supervisor, is a member of the plant leadership team and plays a key role in providing supervision and leadership to deliver business results and operational improvements. The RSPC Supervisor ensures the efficient and safe processing of raw materials into finished products, maintaining strict adherence to quality standards, health and safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. The RSPC Supervisor leads a team of operators and meets production targets while minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: Oversee the reception of raw materials (e.g., milk). Ensure proper sampling and quality testing. Oversee the skimming, pasteurization, and concentration processes to ensure optimal operation of equipment and adherence to production schedules. Monitor critical control points and ensure compliance with all food safety and quality standards. Maintain a close partnership with the cross-functional team within the plant. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., quality control, maintenance) to ensure a smooth workflow and timely product output. Lead, train, and mentor a team of RSPC operators, ensuring they follow proper operational procedures and safety protocols. Assign daily tasks and other responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Ensure all products meet required specifications and quality standards, including temperature, composition, and texture. Identify and address any deviations from quality standards, implementing corrective actions as needed. Promote a culture of safety awareness among staff, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations in the plant, ensuring the safe operation of all equipment Continuously monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement Maintain accurate production records, including batch reports, maintenance logs, and quality control documentation Ability to run multiple continuous improvement and action plans Ability to monitor a milk schedule and adjust it between the furnisher and the plant production Responsible for managing team members, including interviewing, hiring, training and developing; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partner with HR on all employee relations issues. From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Business Administration, Food Science or Related Field) 3 years of food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word/Excel/PP), SAP/MTI, SAP/LIS, SAP/Maintenance, SAP/BI-Reporting, OEE, Mini-Tab, and Quality Companion Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to challenge the status quo and motivate cross-functional teams Ability to obtain pasteurizer operator license within 6 months of employment Knowledge of main dairy process equipment (HTST, Separator, membrane systems, CIP, mechanical, electrical, and associated control systems) is required. Knowledge of continuous improvement systems (Lean, Six Sigma, 5M, Pareto, PDCA) Knowledge of FDA and USDA Regulations Ability to work flexible hours depending on business needs (the schedule is expected to be 12 hours rotating) Lactalis Heritage Dairy is an equal employment opportunity employer.
