Open heart, complex thoracic and vascular patients recover on the unit with our specialized trained nurses. Patients are stabilized and supported by impella, IBP, CRRT and ECMO. The unit also supports complex cases coming from cath lab, structural heart program and EP lab, ER and clinic. We are looking for nurses who have 1 year of experience with this patient population. We do not utilize CNAs in our ICU. 18 bed CardiacThoracicVascular Intensive Care Unit. Population we care for in CVICU: ECMO, Balloon Pumps, CRRT, Heart Surgeries, TAVRs, Common and Advanced thoracic and cardiac surgeries, Lytic cases, Carotids and TCARS Fempop, EVAR's/Endo AAA's Culture of Teamwork Job Requirements 1 year of experience with considered patient population. Schedule Information Shift: 12 hr nights Unit Specific Information Patient-Nurse Ratio: 1:1.8 Nursing ratio is 1:2, can be 1:1 depending on the patient.
