Front End Dev (Fullstack)

Front End Full-stack Developer Client: Walmart Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, California (2 days a week on-site) Contract Length: 12 month C2H (Walmart prefers to eventually convert their developers full time) Team: Walmart Fulfillment Services with Walmart International What They Create With & Need Knowledge of • React, Angular, Typescript • Javascript • Java • 70% Front end/30% back end career history • Rest APIs • Jenkins What You'll Be Doing • Designing and delivering code that's readable, maintainable, testable, scalable, reusable, and efficient • Working in an Agile team with engineers, designers, and product managers to solve problems as part of a team • Thinking from the customers perspective to recommend design improvements • Collaborating with backend teams to design effective and understandable APIs • Following established architecture patterns and suggesting improvements • Implementing new features according to specifications • Participating in code reviews for yourself and others • Investigating and fixing bugs • Building unit and UI tests • Learning and implementing the latest technologies • Mentoring fellow engineers Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience • At least 6 years of US experience as a software engineer • 5 years of experience with React and angular • Some knowledge of Java • Angular to react migration. • 2 years of Node.JS experience and knowledge of Node.JS on the server side • Great HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills • Caching, logging, performance tuning, and monitoring • Experience using GitHub • Unit testing best practices and patterns • CI/CD systems such as TeamCity or Jenkins • Comfortable working in a distributed team and communicating asynchronously • Communicate in spoken and written English Background: • Prefer candidates with previous Apex Systems contracting experience • Experience with customer facing applications, prefer e-commerce • Has seen successful developers come from eBay, PayPal, Oracle, etc • Previous Walmart, Albertsons or Kaiser Permanente contractors will be strongly preferred Required Skills : -Front end focused (prefers 70% front end / 30% back end experience for career) -Javascript -Angular -React -Converting angular to react -Little bit of Java Basic Qualification : Additional Skills : -Previous contracting experience with Walmart, Albertsons, Kaiser Permanente, eBay, PayPal and Target will be preferred Background Check :Yes Drug Screen :Yes Notes : Selling points for candidate :-Previous contracting experience with Walmart, Albertsons, Kaiser Permanente, eBay, PayPal and Target will be preferred Project Verification Info : Candidate must be your W2 Employee :Yes Exclusive to Apex :No Face to face interview required :No Candidate must be local :No Candidate must be authorized to work without sponsorship ::No Interview times set : :No Type of project :Development/Engineering Master Job Title :Dev: Other Branch Code :Silicon Valley
