Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/09/2024 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Requirements Minimum Experience: 2 years of surgical unit experience Traveler Experience: Preferred but not required Local Applicants: Accepted with a rate difference Essential Skills: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Use of Rapid Response Teams Blood Product Administration Central and Peripheral Line Care/Management Surgical Drains Management Nasal Cannula and Non-invasive Airway Management Isolation Precautions Wound Care/Wound Vac Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Preferred Skills Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Chest tubes management (Emerson/Pleur-evac) Job Details Patient Ratio: 1:6 for surgical/medicine inpatient patients Shift: 12-hour nights; 36 or 48 hours accepted (no OT billed until after 48 hours) Contract Duration: 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 RTO: 7 days MAX Float Requirement: As needed to similar units Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Contract staff will be expected to work with the Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur, and staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
